About Your Captain — Private Boat Charters in the US Virgin Islands

Captain Cory is a second-generation sailor whose passion for the water began in childhood, sailing the Gulf Coast of Florida from the Panhandle to the Keys.

After college and a brief time in corporate America, he returned to the ocean — building his career aboard traditional sailing vessels and working his way from deckhand to Captain.

His experience spans some of the most diverse waters in the world, including the Caribbean, Central America, the Panama Canal, the East and West Coasts of the United States, Canada, and the Great Lakes.

He has even crossed the Atlantic Ocean from Puerto Rico to England using celestial navigation and traditional sailing methods, before continuing on to explore Western Europe.

Today, Captain Cory brings that world-class experience and deep local knowledge to every private boat charter in St John and the US Virgin Islands — ensuring a safe, personalized, and unforgettable experience on the water.

From there he was drawn to the Caribbean - delivering yachts from New England, sailing to Cuba several times and eventually as Captain & sailing instructor for the Moorings yacht charter company out of Tortola, BVI. Over the next several years he explored every nook and cranny of the Virgin Islands, falling in love with the people, culture, and waters.
